“Kia Kaha” was created with graphite pencil, and digitally coloured. The Kia Kaha series is an expression of my idolised future of the people of New Zealand. They are merging from Pakeha and Maori lineage, standing strong and proud in both cultures, and embracing all that has to give them, which creates a strong, unique individual, unlike any other. The drawing is unifying traditional and modern.
