Mode Magazine
Mode is a luxury in-house magazine for Sisters & Co clothing store, featuring the latest in designer fashion, beauty and lifestyle. While working full time as the Creative Director at Sisters & Co myself and the creative team developed the idea of Mode as a way of connecting with our existing customers and giving them a physical guide / look book to the season ahead. Mode was also very useful as a marketing tool to reach a larger audience throughout New Zealand.
Each issue of Mode has styling tips, designer interviews and insights, creative editorials and special features throughout. While working for Sisters I produced 5 issues of Mode, each being around 100-130 pages. I was in charge of putting Mode together from start to finish, and had the assistance of stylists, make-up artists, feature writer and content creators. Working with designer Fianna O’Donoghue we would begin by brainstorming the issues special features, writing interviews to be sent to designers, and contacting brands for advertising. From there I would direct and shoot the photos seen on the covers and campaigns throughout the magazine. Finally I would work of the design and layout and put it all together to complete the project. I would generally spend about 4-6 weeks on each issue.
