Packaging Design
Packaging design for the Aromatherapy Company’s limited edition Mother’s Day range. This was the first project I took on with the Aromatherapy Company as a freelancer and after I was offered a full-time position. Initially the brief was to create a seamless hand drawn florally pattern. I tried out a few different concepts with graphite pencil and watercolours, but the colouring didn’t pop out enough for packaging. Working with head designers Ahi Mckenzie and Annie Li we came up with the idea of creating a digital floral print; which meant it would be a lot easier to control the colouring and layout. I digitally painted the final floral pattern and developed the packaging design to print ready finals. The pattern was also used on in store promotional material – including a big display in Smith and Caughey’s.
